SUMMARY:Beyond Beginners Djembe Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-hour workshop for those who are already familiar with the technique of the djembe and are able to produce bass\, tone and slap sounds. \nThe class will cover the ancient rhythm Sofa (literally meaning “Warrior”) from Guinea West Africa. Participants will learn up to four djembe accompaniment patterns and arrangement. Some time will also be dedicated to cover the dundunba\, sangban and kenkeni parts for this rhythm so be prepared to get challenged! \nThe cost for the two-hour workshop is $25 and includes the use of all instruments.
